The Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Shift Lead. As a Shift Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations within a local-fulfillment center, supporting Site Management in running great shifts and delegating tasks effectively. You will work closely with Operations Associates to ensure that warehouse and kitchen processes are executed smoothly, safety and cleanliness are maintained, and quality is upheld.
Your Responsibilities
- Take Ownership: Take charge of your assigned shifts, including warehouse and kitchen processes, safety and cleanliness, quality, and training. Maintain accountability for inventory, equipment, and other company assets to prevent loss or theft.
- Delight Customers: Ensure customer orders are delivered with high quality by executing orders accurately, communicating with customers when issues arise, and facilitating smooth Dasher pickups.
- Lead the Team: Guide Operations Associates through their shift by ensuring the team works safely and productively, and serving as the point of escalation for daily operations.
- One Team One Fight: Support operations in both the warehouse and kitchen, assist with day-to-day tasks, and lead by example.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A proven track record of success in food and beverage, warehouse, and/or retail environments.
- The ability to work well under pressure and multitask efficiently.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent; a college diploma is preferred but not required.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate a pallet jack and hand truck.
- A valid food handling certificate (DoorDash provides training).
