Patient Service Representative

The Intake Specialist will support the Patient Assistance Program (PAP) by managing the initial triaging of patient applications. This role involves data entry, coordination of applications, and ensuring adherence to established business rules and policies. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, be highly organized, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete the intake process for patient applications into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• Accurately enter patient demographic, physician, drug, income, household, and insurance information into the CRM.
• Associate and tag images to corresponding patient records.
• Conduct initial assessments of applications for missing information and perform outreach to obtain required data.
• Assess simplified applications and identify appropriate workflows based on business rules.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance with established processes and policies.
• Document all patient cases in the CRM in alignment with business rules.
• Conduct renewal and year-end recertification processes as per program requirements.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
• Assist with special projects within job scope to enhance reimbursement optimization.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in an office or administrative setting.
• Proficiency in computer systems and data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to provide high-quality customer service.

Preferred

• College degree or 2-year Associate Degree.
• Familiarity with medical and pharmacy insurance benefits.
