Teach for the Summer!We are seeking experienced and aspiring teachers for our Summer School programs for at-risk adolescents in DYS programs. Our programs serve adolescents ages 14-20 in residential DYS programs. Summer school starts on July 7th and ends August 14th six weeks: Monday through Thursday The minimum workday is 6 hours, including: 30 minutes for preparation, 30 minutes for lunch, and 5 hours of instruction. An additional hour per day for prep/planning (either on-site or off-site) may be elected.Teaching License is preferred, but not requiredPositions available for all subjects (Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies), Health/Wellness, & ArtSmall class sizes (average of 5 students per class)Behavior support staff in the classroomFlexible curriculumCompetitive pay for licensed educators: Teaching Coordinators $47.25 per hrTeacher $42.00 per hrUnlicensed educators $37.00 per hrPotential to join us for a full time position in the Fall.We believe everyone is a learner, and seek educators who value social justice and equity, compassion, patience, and flexibility.
