What we are looking for
We are seeking an Application Production Support Engineer to join our Technology team. In this role, you’ll focus on maintaining high-quality client-facing web applications while adhering to enterprise development best practices. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical and functional challenges, ensuring continuous improvement and operational excellence. Your expertise in troubleshooting, proactive monitoring, and problem resolution will help drive application availability and performance in production.
Your responsibilities
- Engage in technical triaging, troubleshooting, and problem resolution in both functional and technical areas.
- Analyze and trace issues across frontend and backend technologies, including databases, caching, cloud infrastructure, and applications.
- Create and develop application monitoring solutions to respond to alerts and collaborate with the IT team to enhance application performance and availability.
- Handle ad hoc demands and time-sensitive outages, ensuring swift resolution.
- Document issues, findings, and resolutions to ensure clarity for all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to resolve issues based on business requirements and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop and propose process improvements to minimize incidents and outages.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document issues and resolutions clearly.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
- Able to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
- Adaptable, able to make independent decisions and navigate changes in priorities.
- Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6 years of experience in application maintenance and development.
- Proficiency with Angular, JavaScript, .NET, SQL Server, and understanding of complex architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud services, preferably Azure.
- Experience analyzing RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and suggest rectification options.
- Knowledge of API error codes, rate limits, and synthetic monitoring.
- Experience with CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability patterns.
