We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Security Intern to join our team and support critical tactical security initiatives. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in a fast-paced, AI-first environment. You'll work alongside experienced security professionals, contributing to real-world projects, and developing a strong foundation in security engineering. You'll work alongside experienced security professionals, contributing to real-world projects, and developing a strong foundation in security engineering. Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing, configuring, and optimizing security tools (e.g., Tenable, SonarQube, GRC Reporting, Google Workspace) to enhance scanning, observability, alerting, and governance; identify and resolve configuration gaps
- Participate in vulnerability remediation, including vulnerabilities identified by Snyk, and assist in implementing processes for ongoing vulnerability management
- Assist in monitoring security alerts from SIEM, Google Workspace, and DataDog; triage security issues; and support incident response activities
- Help develop reports to track key security metrics for teams, departments, and executives
- Identify opportunities for automation, especially AI automation, and support the implementation of solutions to reduce manual effort in security operations
- Demonstrated use of AI to accelerate security tasks, proactively identify and resolve vulnerabilities, and automate incident response processes
- Strong interest in security engineering and a desire to learn about security tools and processes in an AI-focused environment
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Familiarity with basic security concepts and principles
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a positive and collaborative attitude
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges in an agile setting
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash preferred
- Knowledge of AWS security best practices preferred
- Exposure to coding with libraries/languages such as React, Okta, Go, Node, or Python preferred
