Job Overview:
As a Sales Associate at Collectors Firearms, you will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our customers. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers in selecting the right products, handling transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will also help maintain our store's inventory and displays, contributing to an organized and inviting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly and provide expert assistance in selecting firearms, ammunition, and accessories.
Offer detailed product information, including the history and specifications of collectible and antique firearms.
Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and a focus on customer satisfaction.
Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Sales:
Assist customers through the purchasing process, including background checks and legal compliance.
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the store's POS system.
Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the store's overall performance.
Product Knowledge:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the store's inventory, including new arrivals and special items.
Stay informed about current trends and developments in the firearms industry.
Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Store Maintenance:
Help maintain an organized and attractive store environment by restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring the store is clean.
Assist with inventory management, including conducting stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
Support promotional activities and special events as needed.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws regarding firearm sales and transfers.
Adhere to store policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales or customer service is a plus.
Proven experience in a sales role, preferably in the firearms or sporting goods industry.
Strong knowledge of firearms, including collectible and antique guns, ammunition, and accessories.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Must pass a background check and meet all legal requirements to work in a firearms retail environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Manual dexterity to handle firearms and accessories safely.
