Position title: Intern, Development
Status: Intern
Standard Hours: 8-12 hrs/week (flexible M-F)
Location: Downtown Office
Reports To: Senior Coordinator, Development
Hourly Internship Starts at: $16.00/hr.
Assigned To: Development
Position Summary:
The Development Intern will support the Development team by assisting with the maintenance College Now donor database and other ad-hoc requests. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a sophisticated non-profit fundraising team and develop skills in database management, data research, and Excel.
Essential Projects/Responsibilities:
List primary duties and tasks, such as:
- Assist with College Now donor database maintenance
- Conduct research and create profiles on former College Now Board members
- Support Senior Coordinator of Development by uploading gift backup into donor database
- Assist with research and analysis of donor trends within donor database
- Attend monthly Development/Finance team meetings
- Other tasks as requested
Expected Learning Outcomes:
- Develop skills in database management and donor record-keeping using CRM software
- Gain experience in analyzing donor trends and fundraising data to support fundraising initiatives
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills:
- Persuasive communication skills, oral and written
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational capabilities
Must-Have Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Education Requirement:
- Currently enrolled in college degree program
