Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the operations of the Lucas Center. This is a grant funded position.
Responsibilities
1 -
Oversee daily operations of Center to include answering calls, greeting guests, general correspondence, planning appointment schedules, making travel reservations and filing expense reports, and processing confidential matters. Tracks and orders office supplies to ensure office runs smoothly.
2 -
Assists with the implementation of the Lucas Center programing on-campus for students and others.
3 -
Helps in advising and supporting students seeking an entrepreneurship minor or a concentration in the BBA degree program.
4 -
Assists with the coordination, logistics, and support of The Lucas Center activities and events, including tracking RSVPs and assisting at the event itself. This may include off-campus programming to The Lucas Center.
5 -
Prepares routine and special reports on campus and system administrators
6 -
Schedules and assists in supervising student assistants
7 -
Assembles and supports the proofreading of documents prepared by Lucas Center staff.
8 -
Coordinates marketing activities including social media, calendar, and event creation
9 -
Performs related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree
Other Required Qualifications
Must possess a current valid drivers license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review.
Required Experience
- More than one year of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of college and departmental policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation and arithmetic.
- Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
SKILLS
- Skill in prioritizing and organizing work.
- Skill in the management of files and records.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
