Job Summary
Adjunct pool applications are reviewed on an as-needed basis.
Adjuncts are paid starting at $900 per credit hour.
Seeking qualified, experienced instructors for the Social Science Department in General Education. Successful candidates will have the experience, and be willing to instruct, in both face-to-face, hybrid, and asynchronous classes as needed.
We are recruiting adjunct faculty—primarily for online sections—to teach various courses in the social sciences, including ANTH 101, CRJ 103, POLS 101, POLS 102, PSYC 101, and SOC 101.
Typical Job Functions
- Provides instruction to post-secondary students in assigned content area
- Develops related instructional materials (such as syllabus, lectures, course materials, evaluation tools, classroom activities, and others) for either face-to-face or online instruction
- Maintains consistent office hours
- Attends in-service and other departmental meetings each semester
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in core subject area with at least 18 graduate credit hours in these disciplines
- Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI doesn’t sponsor H-1B Visas)

- Bilingual (Spanish)
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
On-site work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.
Background Investigations:
Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position. Please refer to Policy 225: Background Checks
