Mason School of Business at William & Mary. The Center benefits from an exceptionally talented and motivated student body, offering students a vastly enriching experience as they prepare for careers of principled achievement in finance. Leadership opportunities for members include our four student-run clubs : the Howard J. Busbee Finance Academy, the Mason Investment Club, Women in Business and Smart Woman Securities. In addition, the Center offers advanced financial training, career exploration, networking and experiential learning through financial firm-sponsored competitions and events, and through industry leader- and dedicated faculty-taught courses. The Center capitalizes on William & Mary’s small size by offering uniquely personalized programs, including alumni mentor matching and advising.The Boehly Center Assistant Director, Events & Programs, will support the Center by coordinating events and supporting signature programs for students, alumni and employers interested or working in the financial services industry. Events include but are not limited to the logistics, operations, marketing and execution of : From DoG Street to Wall Street, Educational Treks, Study Abroad, Mentor Programs, Financial Literacy Program, Club Officer Trainings, Case Competitions, Peer Mentorship, Training the Street, etc. The position will focus on logistical planning and execution of events to coordinate speakers, event registration, catering, parking, vendors, reminders, etc. In addition, the position will help to manage and track data in the Boehly Center Incentive Program with the support of student workers.This position is responsible for assisting the Associate Directors of Academic Engagement, Events, and Operations to advance the mission of the Boehly Center and to assist with the future success of our students, including alumni, industry professionals, corporate partners and employers. This position will also require constructive collaboration with various internal constituencies with whom the Boehly Center works closely, including students, faculty, Advancement (Development and Alumni Relations), the Undergraduate Business Program office, vendors and the Cohen Career Center.The Raymond A. All employees of the Mason School are expected to promote DE&I efforts through their work as part of their primary responsibilities.Conditions of Employment : Must be available to work some nights and weekends as well as hours beyond a typical 40-hour work week, depending upon Boehly Center events.This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.This position is restricted to the availability of funding.Required Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.Experience in event support, preferably two years.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to communicate clearly, accurately and persuasively, orally and in writing.Demonstrate technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, database management platforms and data analysis.Ability to work with various constituencies to accomplish goals and objectives.Preferred Qualifications : Master’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and / or experience.Experience in the Higher Education environment.Experience with systems like America To Go, Banner, Chrome River, Box.Is the position remote work eligible?
