Job Title: Web & Database Specialist
Purpose Statement:
The Web & Database Specialist, a member of the Communications team, will be the point-person for church-wide website and database/church management software (ChMS) that serves the ministries of College Park Church. This person will work closely with the Resource & Communication Manager to oversee the church website, church management data systems (MinistryPlatform), giving platforms, software functionality, public-facing and staff technology content. Additionally, this person will work with the IT Manager and technology working group to collaborate on projects, tasks, and tools that overlap. Ultimately, this role helps the church effectively utilize technology to support and expand College Park Church’s mission and ministries.

Responsibilities:
- Church Website & Communications Technology
- Manage continual updates and enhancements to CPC’s website (WordPress), mobile app, and other online technology tools
- Research and implement creative church-wide communication tools, such as registration kiosks, guest services systems, Shepherding App, online giving, etc.
- Work with other Communications team members and other staff to make changes to website content and features
- Manage relationships with sub-contractors
- Manage content and strategy of the church staff website
- Database/Church Management Software (ChMS)
- Provide leadership to an ongoing cross-functional team of staff experts and users in support of MinistryPlatform and other church data systems
- Lead and serve on project teams for projects to develop and maintain features that integrate the website and ChMS
- Work with Communication team to provide training for using the ChMS
- Lead and coordinate data systems integration efforts
- Assure efforts to protect data are sufficient and maintained through the systems, tools and efforts of IT infrastructure
- Serve as ChMS on-site expert
- Develop and run database reports and train staff on utilizing re ports
- Provide ChMS integration support for aspects of related, integrated systems such as online giving or GoMethod (for Vision Trips).
- Church-wide and Staff Technology Support & Resourcing
- Collaborate with IT Managerand other staff on a technology working group
- Meet on a regular, systematic basis for shared learning, support, and triage
- Coordinate the subset of projects, tasks, and tools that overlap between the two roles
- Manage relationships with sub-contractors (software vendors, developers, Church Management System (ChMS) advisors, etc )
- Develop and implement CPC-based volunteer teams for software/data projects
- Respond to staff helpdesk emails in partnership with the IT Manager
- Provide technology expertise and assessment support to staff teams as they develop, critique, and implement ministry technology needs
- Assist staff with research and implementation of technology tools, when appropriate, such as automation and AI to make ministry teams/efforts more efficient and effective
- On occasion, serve as back-up support for IT Manager for needs outside of regular business hours (e.g., check-in kiosk support on Sunday mornings)
- Collaborate with IT Managerand other staff on a technology working group
- Other related duties as assigned.
Education & Skill Requirements:
- Minimum: Associates degree in information technology-related area of study
- 3 years of experience in software / technology roles
- Experience with WordPress preferred
- Demonstrated acumen towards technology and problem-solving
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and quick study of other software systems
- Proficient with MacOS, Windows, Windows Server, Office 365, Azure, and SQL database management.
- Ability to learn and work with software programming languages
- Experience in leading training sessions
- Able to work well with volunteers
- Able to joyfully perform “help-desk” functions

Work Schedule:
- This is a full-time, exempt role totaling approximately 40 hours weekly, Monday-Friday
