JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager HQ Workplace Technology supports business requirements, project and change management, and communications needs for key Workplace Management Technology programs. In this capacity, the candidate will deliver against specific initiatives and produce actionable Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) in conjunction with Workplace Management Leaders, while partnering closely with HR Partners, Organizational Capability, Finance COEs, and IT.
This role provides customer relationship management and support to the internal operations team by leading the development of business requirements for Workplace Management technology, ensuring alignment with operational processes, leading and developing Workplace Management building/facilities technology implementation and adoption in partnership with Global Technology. The Sr Manager Workplace Technology is also responsible for ensuring the implemented technology platform can grow to meet Marriott’s current and future HQ Campus needs and provide on-going refinement as needed.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
BS/BA in Business Management, Data Management, or other related discipline
At least five years working with and/or implementing complex business systems
Experience with full project lifecycle delivery of real estate, facility management and/or occupancy planning technology (such as IWMS) in enterprise corporate environments.
Preferred
Proficiency with IWMS, CAFM, CMMS, EAM, and/or AutoCAD systems, as well as with ServiceNow/Nuvolo.
Experience leading teams at a major systems integrator or consulting firm is a plus.
Possess subject matter expertise on trends relating to technology and real estate/facilities industries.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Develop relationships with Marriott stakeholders and user groups to understand their challenges, goals, and objectives, and to help them understand how technology can help them address their needs. Translating these needs into requirements for optimized solutions.
Act as the primary point of contact for all systems / technology utilized within Workplace Management.
Identify opportunities for innovation and make recommendations to leadership as the facilities technology “subject matter expert” on the team.
Introduce industry trends and knowledge to continually improve the associate experience and ease of systems. Work to continuously monitor customer satisfaction and gather feedback from other stakeholders as appropriate.
Collaborate with teams on the identification of improvement / enhancement / expansion opportunities followed by the creation of Requests for Proposals (RFP) and/or Statements of Work (SOW) to external software and service providers to support the opportunity.
Solution Selection
Help define opportunities for innovation, procurement, and market research strategies.
Support the development of SOWs and coordination with facilities specific technology software and service providers. Work closely with stakeholders as appropriate on RFPs and statements of work, direct and coordinate demonstrations of software solutions as appropriate.
Conducts analysis of business requirements with respect to systems, process workflow, and staffing.
Create documentation to communicate ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ conditions, processes, technical and staffing model solutions, Return on Investment (ROI) criteria, KPIs and measurement criteria with software product and service providers for facilities technology.
Project and Program Management
Implement industry best practices as well as the capabilities of facilities technology and the benefits of available outsourced services.
Salary : $108,000 - $166,000
