What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator - GMCD - Operation & Regulatory Management position at Collier County?
• Participates in the promotion, explanation and interpretation of public outreach objectives, benefits and programs; develops and establishes appropriate communications and manages a proactive approach to information dissemination to County staff and/or the public.
• Coordinates the activities of assigned support, administrative and office functions; reviews and processes a variety of internal and external reports, forms, invoices, contracts and related documents; prepares related statistical summaries and narrative reports.
• Receives and responds to requests, inquiries and complaints from the public, other jurisdictions and other County Divisions, Departments and sections; prepares and proofreads correspondence for format, accuracy and completeness; coordinates activities with and provides information to outside contractors and service providers.
• Summarizes and assembles reports and information, trend analysis and prepares information releases; develops, plans, and drafts various Department documents, reports, projects related material.
• Performs a variety of administrative duties for the program; assist in the preparation of program budget development documents, tracks expenditures and revenues.
• Assesses potential site locations for special events, recreational activities and determines potential use.
• Assists the Program Manager in supervision and training.
• Coordinates the timely review of all types of plans, plats, petitions, and documents submitted for review; checks submittals for required items; enter information into computer; calculates fees; prepares files; routes information to reviewers; checks pending reviews for completion; research staff’s comments and assists clients with interpreting review comments.
• Serves as primary point of contact for applicants, residents, and senior management for elevated land use projects, Code Enforcement violations resolution, and building permits; daily follow-up is required until project is completed.
• Provides various liaison functions related to assigned projects; applies and explains policy regulations and operating procedures as required.
• Three (3) years of related experience.
• Candidates without a degree should possess two (2) additional years of related experience.

- Essential Employees may be required to work during an undeclared emergency and/or declared emergency. On an incident-by-incident basis, the County’s Administrative Office will make the determination as to who will be required to work.
