Job Summary:
Support all employee relations activities, including informal conflict resolution, conducting and guiding investigations, as well as guidance and support on any necessary employee discipline. Apply Consistent standards and relevant college guidelines and policies in all employee relations activities. Provide support as needed on complaints. Perform thorough and confidential responsibilities relating to research, preparation, and addressing of employee relations issues.
Required Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Pursuant to appropriate employment policy/procedure or best practice, analyze issues to determine the most appropriate and effective form of response, ranging from informal conflict resolution to employee disciplinary actions. Perform necessary investigation and guide any subsequent, - discipline, training and/or alternative forms of resolution to best address those issues.
- Serve as resource to employees and management on employee relations issues, including coordination and identification of training needs and best practices.
- Investigate and identify employee violations of EEO law and/or of policy/procedure. Make recommendations for corrective action.
- Assist in addressing employee complaints and reports and other related compliance issues.
- Assist in the process of maintaining college-wide complaints reporting and tracking system.
- Assist in Title IX duties and responsibilities to include, but not limited to, training, investigations, reporting, and other required duties under the District's Title IX responsibilities.
- Monitor and communicate trends in EEO, Title IX, and other state and federal regulations as they impact human resources.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and five (5) years of experience in Human Resources or a closely related field or at least seven (7) years in Human Resources in an institution of higher education or school system.
