What are the responsibilities and job description for the QMHP Team Lead ACT position at Collin County Mental Health Retardation Center?
The ACT Team Lead is responsible for training and support of ACT staff in the Adult Behavioral Health ACT program to ensure that clinical services are performed with high fidelity of UM guidelines, TAC requirements, and trauma informed person-centered recovery. Team Lead serves as the expert of providing high-quality services and can train and model service delivery of their team members. Duties include providing direct services to individuals on the ACT team at least 40 hours per month; providing documented coaching each month as indicated by each team members clinical needs; providing observation of each team member at least quarterly or more frequently as needed; and providing hands on training to new hires as well as ongoing training and support for tenured staff to ensure services performed are high fidelity of UM guidelines, TAC requirements, and trauma informed person centered recovery. Coaching will consist of observation, regular chart audits including monthly fidelity reviews, and regular discussion with team members on areas in which they need additional clinical guidance.
Lead will maintain a regular caseload and will provide full-service array as allowed by credentials. Lead will serve in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 crisis coverage for individuals on ACT team. Lead works under the supervision of the Assertive Community Treatment Supervisor and ensures effective communication regarding provider operations, performance, and problems.
- Must have a Bachelors degree in psychology, social work, or related field from a four year university.
- Bachelors degree must meet Texas Administrative Code requirements for a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Clinical Services (QMHP-CS).
- Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field preferred.
- Texas Licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) with good standing preferred.
- Has at least three years of clinical experience in the treatment of individuals with mental illness and/or substance use disorders. If a shorter time, the individuals experience, and aptitude to learn and perform role quickly will be taken into consideration.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative relationships.
- Self-starter who works closely with all team members and takes initiative in completing tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure effective communication regarding behavioral health needs and services
- Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
- Knowledge of the social services system and the ability to guide staff in connecting individuals with appropriate services.
- Knowledge of the current version of the Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
- Organized, detail oriented, computer proficient, and able to write clearly and professionally.
- Ability to respond to individuals with patience, empathy, and understanding.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Work hours may include evening and weekend hours to provide needed support and psychosocial rehab to individuals and their natural support system.
