What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supported Employment Supervisor position at Collin County Mental Health Retardation Center?
The Supervisor of IDD Supported Employments is responsible for performing oversight of services provided to individuals in Supported Employment.
The Supervisor will serve as subject matter expert in IDD Supported Employment tasks and grant opportunities. Supervisor will be responsible for having thorough knowledge of program rules, requirements, and applicable Texas Administrative Code, as well as being an active part in the planning and execution of the annual budget. Supervisor must be familiar with job development, job coaching, Texas Workforce Solution referral process. Must participate in training offered by governing bodies and other sources to ensure knowledge base is up to date. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal staff, staff of partner agencies, individuals receiving services and their families and the community in general. Train and monitor staff performance in the execution of applicable rules and standards. Provide on-the-job training and refreshers to staff.
Supervisor will also be responsible for approving paid time off and bi-weekly timesheet approval of team members and ensuring supported employment coverage when staff need to be out on leave. Will be responsible for completing performance evaluations and disciplinary action of team members. Supervisor works under the supervision of the Program Administrator of Access & Eligibility and ensures effective communication regarding provider operations, performance, and problems.
The supervisor will promote a trauma-informed, culturally, and linguistically appropriate work environment ensuring all services are provided in a trauma-informed, person and family centered manner within the IDD Supported Employment program. Supervisor will embody LifePath Mission, Vision and Values in all that they do.
Targets include: Ensuring that Career Planning Assessments are completed within 2 weeks, but no later than 4 weeks from intake, 90% of time. All trainings completed by due date. Team passes audits at 90% success rate. Billing must be completed in accordance with the TWC requirements.
If Bilingual and receiving stipend, employee will be available to translate for other staff as needed and will utilize approved language in the provision of services as needed.
Bachelors degree in Rehabilitation Studies, Business, Marketing, or other human service-related field AND completion of an approved Director Course (within 7 days of hire) and Supported Employment training (within the first 6 months of employment).
Three to five years of experience in services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
Supported employment knowledge and experience preferred.
Supervisory experience in the human services field required.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to successfully operate an Electronic Health Record.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license.
Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative relationships.
Self-starter who works closely with all team members and takes initiative in completing tasks.
Demonstrated ability to ensure effective communication regarding IDD Supported Employment needs.
Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Knowledge of the social services system and the ability to guide staff in connecting individuals with appropriate services.
Organized, detail-oriented, computer-proficient, and able to write clearly and professionally.
Ability to respond to individuals with patience, empathy, and understanding.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Willingness and ability to provide positive and corrective feedback to staff.
Ability to write and communicate clear performance appraisals and improvement plans as needed for staff.
