What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Support Spec I position at Collin County Mental Health Retardation Center?
- Support Services Technician
- Imaging, installing, configuring, and maintaining of user computers, connections, and peripherals.
- Performance tuning of end user computers.
- Removal and installation of all IT equipment during moves, remodels, deployments, and build out of offices including computers, switches, routers, printers, and peripherals.
- Interacting with end users to fully utilize MIS resources.
- Works Help Desk tickets to provide timely response and resolution.
- Maintain working relationship with other departments within the agency.
- Documents build/rebuild of any new or existing computer.
- Documents IT equipment in Lifepaths asset management system.
- System administration, e.g., adding/deleting end users, as well as managing user and computer accounts in an Active Directory environment.
- Integrating systems to meet business needs with automation.
- Coordinating with other information systems resources.
- Uses work hours efficiently.
- Hybrid work schedule
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Training and Experience (including licensure and certification)
Graduation from accredited high school or equivalent.
Minimum of two years experience working as System Support Specialist or similar job.
Industry certifications are a plus (A , Network , MCP, etc.)
Current valid Texas drivers license required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 7 and newer)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (2007 and newer).
Knowledgeable of PC components and operation.
Possess solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Able to work efficiently both with others and under limited supervision.
Ability to communicate well with others at all levels in the English language
Must be flexible and willing to work to meet established deadlines
