Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee heavy duty truck service department. Duties
- Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring all services are scheduled and performed efficiently and effectively.
- Supervise and train service staff, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
- Oversee automotive repair tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, and diesel engine repairs. Some field work is required. An excellent driving record is needed.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics to identify issues and provide solutions for customer vehicles.
- Maintain relationships with customers by providing excellent service and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
- Ensuring timely ordering of parts and supplies to meet service demands.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all service operations.
- Maintain a medical card by having yearly DOT physicals & DOT drug tests
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive/truck repair with a strong understanding of various services including oil changes, brake repairs, and diesel engine repair.
- Previous experience in auto service management or a similar leadership role within the automotive field is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostics and repair processes is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members.
