Collins is seeking an Assembly worker to add to our manufacturing workforce. Collins has been a manufacturing and machine shop employer in the Rogue Valley for over 50 years! We are currently looking to add an entry to moderately experienced candidate to our Assembly department, using shop tools to assemble our main product, car tow dollies. We are a small family owned business of 25 people but are an incredibly stable and profitable company having come through COVID with no lay-offs and maintaining our worldwide lead in this product. The Assembly position is a full time hourly position of 40 hours/week (4x10 Mon - Thurs... THREE DAY WEEKENDS!). Must be able to pass a drug screen and background search.
Responsibilities
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
- Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
- Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
- Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
- Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
- Check output to ensure highest quality
- Maintain equipment in good condition
- Keep records of production quantities and time
- Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
Skills
- Experience as assembler, automotive or other manufacturing/shop environment.
- Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
- Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
- High school diploma; Higher degree from a technical school will be appreciated but not necessary.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
