The company is seeking a hard-working, organized, self-motivated individual to work in our Operations Department. This position is full-time (40 hours/wk), non-exempt, $17.66/hr - $27.35/hr payable every other Friday. Compensation includes medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k) plan with employer matching contribution, life insurance, employee assistance program, and training opportunities. Regular shifts are Monday – Friday with overtime as needed.
Responsibilities Include:
• Reviewing design packages and inventory levels to identify items needed for purchase; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives.
• Preparing purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from warehouse department.
• Reviewing and ordering items identified via the weekly KAN BAN inventory management system.
• Obtaining purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
• Verifying receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered, resolving shipments in error with suppliers. • Authorizing payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation.
• Keeping information accessible by sorting and filing documents.
• Providing purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
• Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Other project work as assigned including the implementation of ISO 9001.
