Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County.
We are currently recruiting for a Clinician III (LE) position within our Adult Outpatient program. This position works with individuals with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder providing individuals with access to needed services and supports necessary to meeting basic needs. We are currently recruiting for a Clinician III (LE) position within our Adult Outpatient program. This position works with individuals with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder providing individuals with access to needed services and supports necessary to meeting basic needs. Job Responsibilities
- Provides individual, family, and group counseling and psychotherapy with individuals and families.
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, service planning, and diagnosis of the population.
- Monitors progress, service delivery, physical and mental stability, and satisfaction by providing service to all individuals on assigned caseload.
- Other duties as assigned.
Evening & Weekend hours may be required based on program needs
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to treat co-occurring disorders, including knowledge of group counseling techniques, family systems, and motivational interviewing.
- Ability to prepare a comprehensive recovery-oriented treatment plan according to agency guidelines.
- Knowledge and proficiency in the use of assessment, therapeutic and outcome measures in areas of clinical focus.
- One year of work experience with individuals with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder required.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Master’s Degree in a human services field required
- Resident in Counseling, Resident in Marriage & Family, Social Work Supervisee required
