Job Description
Colonial Behavioral Health provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their family members in the areas of mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County.
We are currently recruiting for a Direct Support Professional II within our Day Services program. This position works with individuals with Developmental Disabilities encouraging them to live independent and productive lives.
Job Duties
Job Responsibilities
- Plans, implements, and updates individualized service plans (ISP) utilizing a person-centered approach that is focused on independent living and community inclusion and participation.
- Assesses and evaluates an individual's strengths and needs for increased independent living and community inclusion and participation.
- Provides timely and accurate service-related documentation to include progress notes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday : 8 : 00am - 4 : 00pm

Do you have a Bachelor's Degree in the Human Services field?
Have you completed DD Population related college-level coursework?
Do you have at least one year of experience working with the DD population?
Do you have Behavior Management experience?
Do you have experience in training program / service plan development?
Do you have experience developing training objectives / skill building outcomes?
Do you currently hold a valid driver's license and have at least two (2) years driving experience?
Have you attached a copy of a current motor vehicle driving record to this application?
