Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our restaurants and bar outlets. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high standards of food quality and service.
This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of staff members. You will work closely with our Food and Beverage Leadership to develop and implement operating standards, driving business growth and profitability.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supervisory roles, with experience in menu development, labor management, and customer service. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and inventory systems is also essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of Food and Beverage Team Members, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
- Delegate tasks and assign responsibilities to Team Members, ensuring effective workflow and productivity.
- Maintain service standards while enforcing accountability measures, ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, identifying variances and taking corrective actions to maintain high standards.
- Assist in recruitment processes, including job postings and interviewing candidates.
- Complete and process performance reviews, recognizing employee achievements and addressing areas for improvement.
- Develop and conduct training sessions for Team Members, promoting knowledge and skill development.
- Review marketing/promotions and F&B activities with Team Members, aligning efforts with business objectives.
- Supervise cleaning and side work standards, ensuring equipment is properly operating and maintained.
- Monitor staffing levels to meet business needs, balancing productivity and efficiency.
- Identify business opportunities and implement solutions to improve department operations, driving revenue growth and profitability.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely manner, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Collaborate with Food and Beverage Leadership to develop and implement operating standards, driving business success.

- Demonstrate a 'hands-on' mentality for guest service, working on the floor 90% of the time to ensure excellent customer experiences.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity, fostering positive working relationships among Team Members and the public.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, assuming overall responsibility for the position's performance.
- Be detail-oriented, having a professional attitude, strong organizational and time management skills, and a customer-focused approach.

- Show knowledge of menu development, costing, labor management, food trends, and service, as well as overall restaurant operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Micros, and Stratton Warren or comparable inventory systems.
Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities
- Attend required training sessions offered by the Company, staying up-to-date on regulatory requirements.
- Obtain and retain required licenses, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations, preventing minors from accessing restricted areas.

Qualifications
We require a High school diploma or GED, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
A Virginia Racing Commission License and Serv-Safe certification are preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role manages subordinates who may supervise employees, requiring strong leadership and delegation skills.
