Gear Specialist
Full-time | Remote
As a Gear Specialist you will provide world class customer service with zero mistakes, constant improvement, steady growth and profitable sales. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Develop & Maintain relationships with key customers
Support Manager when needed
Support branch operations as needed
Partner with outside sales people as opportunities warrant
Partner with manufacturer sales people as opportunities warrant
Review plans, specs, addendums, customer RFQ and prepare responsible bids & quotes
Close clean & profitable orders
Assist co-workers with product and market knowledge
Stay Current with industry trends and products
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
Provide quote to all CRFQ on or before date requested
Provide accurate pricing for all line items in JobTrack
Review manufacturer/vendor bills of material for accuracy as well as terms and conditions
Provide NoBid to customer and OS when choosing to no quote a CRFQ
Use JobTrack QMS report to follow up on projects quarterly
Close a lost job in JobTrack with feedback when provided
Utilize GearPM to create GOT once PO is obtained from customer
Provide Turnover sheet to GearPM when turning over an order
Review manufacturer/vendor submittal package for accuracy and thoroughness
Work with PM to deliver a complete, organized submittal package to the customer
Review returned submittal with PM and make appropriate changes as necessary
Create change order quotes within the J# of the project in JobTrack
Reach out when overwhelmed or unable to respond in a timely manner
Answer/acknowledge email within four hours
Answer/acknowledge voice mail in four hours
Use email out of office reminder
Add time off to team Google Calendar
Set updated voicemail message stating time off
Express or highlight all concerns or obstacles to manager
Take ownership of problems and work toward full, agreeable resolution. Don’t hide even when it’s terrible.
Embrace change and suggest better methods of operation, question why we do things.
Do not participate in company gossip or idle chatter
Always support the gear team and the company, don’t speak disparaging about either
Show respect to all employees regardless of age, intelligence, gender or race
Build relationships with customers and vendors that lead to profitable orders
Contribution to team Hit Rate and profitability (volume, margin, breakage/losses)
Seek & Offer Customer Feedback
Seek & Offer Coworker Feedback
Seek & Offer Vendor Feedback
Participate in Training, suggest and line up team lunch & learns.
Work with new employees to on-board, train & integrate into the team.
Keep good notes and documentation in regards to bids, buys, and orders
Keep up to date and utilize the Google Vendor Sheet

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred in Business or similar major
Ability to work overtime as necessary
