Position Description
Position Title: Dishwasher
Reports To: Executive Chef/Sous Chef/Director of Food and Beverage/Banquet Manager
Prerequisites:
¨ Experience: No experience necessary
¨ Criteria:
· Able to facilitate given instructions
· Able to work scheduled shifts required for position
· Dependability and punctuality
¨ Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time
· Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time
· Requires the ability to lift at least 20 pounds
· Able to physically perform all expected duties of position
Tasks and Job Duties:
Washing sanitizing and general care of all dishes, utensils, pots and pans. Organization of all dish storage areas. General cleanliness and order of the kitchen, basement, rear loading area, and mop closet. Removal of trash and boxes to outside dumpster. Cleaning of equipment and floors. Cleaning and upkeep of the dish machine. Cleaning and up keep of break room and loading area.
All employees are in part responsible for the overall cleanliness and order of the kitchen. All employees on each shift are accountable for opening and closing the kitchen. Some employees may need to help other employees in other positions to ensure that the kitchen is thoroughly clean, orderly and closed properly. In short there is no such thing as “it’s not my job”.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
