Responsibilities
- Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of infection control practices throughout the organization.
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for staff on infection prevention and best practices.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to investigate infection outbreaks and develop corrective action plans.
- Monitor infection rates and contribute to data analysis for continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide expert guidance on infection prevention to healthcare staff and management.
- Stay current with emerging trends, research, and regulations in infection prevention and control. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Certified in Infection Control (CIC) or willing to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in infection control within a healthcare setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention guidelines and best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging a diverse audience.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
