Summary
The Infection Preventionist will work in a coordinated and integrated infection surveillance, prevention, and process improvement program to advance patient safety and prevent infections. They will work proactively to prevent infection, evaluate process compliance, and improve infection prevention and treatment policies. Analyze and interpret data under the direction of the Infection Prevention and Control Program Manager. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide education as needed.
Position Reports To : Infection Control Department Manager

Qualifications
Required:
- Current licensure in the state of Washington (RCW 18.88) or licensure through Multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (SSB 5499) in nursing, or degree in public health or epidemiology.
- Problem solving abilities and organizational skills.
- Skill in written and verbal communication.
- Good knowledge and application of computer technology.
Desired:
- Experience in Infection prevention and control.
- Knowledge of principles of epidemiology, infection prevention and control.
- Skill in time management.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
