Position Overview:
Assists Business Development Officers in analysis of loan/financial information, completion of loan packages, and presentation of loans for approval and/or committee presentation.
Primary Job Functions:
- Perform financial analysis, such as profitability, liquidity, solvency, collateral, and cash flow analyses. Underwrite commercial credit via key issue identification, working capital assessment, and ratio interpretation by utilizing corporate and personal financial statements and tax returns.
- Complete spreads using software programs/tools in a timely and accurate manner.
- Completion of loan approval package to include interpretation of personal and corporate financial spreads, financial analysis, collateral analysis, loan memorandum, summary of terms and conditions, debt sheet, and other appropriate information.
- Actively participate in gathering financial and other information to complete loan packages.
- Assist in the review and development of loan structure for SBA and USDA loans.
- Maintain knowledge of SBA and USDA regulations
- Review and adhere to government guaranteed lending SOPs for meeting program eligibility.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Required 2-5 years minimum underwriting experience, SBA experience preferred.
- Prefer previous experience with remote group work.
- Must be detailed oriented, self-starter, and ability to handle 3-4 loans at any given time.
