This is a seasonal position from approximately May 31, 2024 to July 26, 2024. The position is a

non-exempt position as defined by the Department of Labor.

This Is What We Do:

  • We create a climate of learning and fun to further the development of each camper

socially, physically and creatively.

  • We help each child adjust easily to their group and strengthen values of teamwork,

cooperation and sportsmanship.

  • We encourage a positive self-image for each child while teaching skills in a variety of

physical and creative activities.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible or the well-being of campers.
  • Assist in the supervision of campers within activities and throughout the daily camp

routine.

  • Assure campers are properly supervised at all times.
  • Be aware of and implement safety guidelines.
  • Participate and be an active part of all camper activities.
  • Be a role model to campers and staff in your attitude, behavior and good sportsmanship.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with other counselors, the director and assistant

director.

  • Communicate effectively and work together in a team environment with staff
  • Desire and enthusiasm to work with children
  • Ability to accept supervision and guidance
  • Good character, integrity and adaptability
  • Ability to work together with a team of one’s peers

Job Description:

Requirements

Camp Employees must:

  • Be Responsible for the well-being of campers.
  • Assist in the supervision of campers within activities and throughout the daily camp

routine.

  • Assure campers are properly supervised at all times.

  • Participate and be an active part of all camper activities.
  • Be a role model to campers and staff in your attitude, behavior and good sportsmanship.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with other counselors, the director and assistant

director.

  • Communicate effectively and work together in a team environment with staff
  • Have a desire and enthusiasm to work with children
  • Be able to accept supervision and guidance
  • Maintain good character, integrity and adaptability
  • Have the ability to work together with a team of one’s peers
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Be available to work for at least 7 weeks
  • Must attend a mandatory orientation program

Job Type: Full-time

Typical Schedule: 8:15 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Salary: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
