The Horizons Colorado at Colorado Academy (HCCA) program seeks a part-time music teacher for our elementary school program.
HCCA offers an enrichment program designed for Denver Public School students from under-served communities. The tuition-free program runs for six weeks from June 16 through July 25, 2025, and emphasizes academic enrichment, social and emotional learning, cultural experiences and the arts, and health and wellness – including swimming.
We are looking for a dynamic music instructor to teach music (voice and possibly some instruments) to our students from Pre-K to 4th grade. Educational majors with musical experience are encouraged to apply - we feel an engaging and caring approach to teaching children is very important in this setting. Bilingual teachers are preferred but not required
Music teachers guide weekly music activities with grades PreK-4th grade. This position will require some lifting, sitting, and the ability to engage young children in their daily activities.
Music teachers will have responsibilities such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Design and execute unique lesson plans for each class
- Teach students a variety of musical concepts

The pay for this position is $2,050- $2,200 for the six-week program. Although this is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any wage differential that may exist for the position does not relate to sex, gender or gender identity, but relates solely to a seniority system, a merit system, or relevant education, training and/or experience. Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance benefit programs are available, as is a 403(b) retirement plan. Eligibility for all benefit programs is defined by the applicable plan document.
