Our early childhood program is seeking a Toddler Assistant Teacher to collaborate with our teaching team in fostering curiosity, exploration, and meaningful learning experiences. This full-time, year-round position is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a play-based, inquiry-driven setting and values strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
As a Toddler Assistant Teacher, you will:
- Support the Master Teacher and Lead Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and classroom activities.
- Supervise and interact with toddlers during indoor and outdoor play, mealtime, naptime, and daily routines.
- Foster children's social and emotional development by modeling positive behavior, providing encouragement, and supporting conflict resolution.
- Assist with classroom management by helping facilitate transitions and maintaining a warm, structured environment.
- Help create a clean, safe, and organized classroom by following health and safety protocols, sanitizing toys, and organizing materials.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with families by communicating regularly about children's activities and progress.
- Provide support across multiple classrooms as needed, including lunch breaks, planning time, and closing the Center each day.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills and meet licensing requirements.
- Follow all school policies and state regulations to ensure the well-being and safety of all children.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Some coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred)
- Colorado Shines Credential - Level Two (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience working with young children in an early learning setting
- Ability to maintain professionalism and work collaboratively in a team environment

The pay for this position is $21.90 - $25.80/hour. Although this is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any wage differential that may exist for the position does not relate to sex, gender or gender identity, but relates solely to a seniority system, a merit system, or relevant education, training and/or experience. Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance benefit programs are available, as is a 403(b) retirement plan. Eligibility for all benefit programs is defined by the applicable plan document.
