Position: Elementary School Teacher
Overview:
As an elementary school teacher at CCA, you'll have the opportunity to shape young minds in a nurturing Christian environment. Our mission is to provide a holistic education that prioritizes academic excellence while instilling biblical values and fostering a love for learning.
General Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a Supportive Learning Environment: Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that addresses the six key student needs: Safety, Success, Belonging, Freedom, Enjoyment, and Purpose.
- Deliver Engaging Lessons: Prepare and deliver dynamic lessons in core subjects such as Singapore Math, Literacy Essentials, and Bible, as well as co-curricular activities like drama, science, civics-history, and STEAM. Collaborate with colleagues and the Director of Academics to ensure alignment with grade-level standards.
- Model Christian Values: Integrate Christian principles and values into your teaching, modeling and fostering a Christian worldview in all interactions with students. Guide students in their spiritual growth and walk with Christ.
- Provide Supervision and Support: Supervise students in various settings and circumstances, ensuring their safety and well-being. Offer guidance, mentorship, and support to help students thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.
- Professional Development: Participate actively in professional development opportunities with CCA staff to enhance teaching skills and contribute to the school's continuous improvement. Set and monitor personal growth goals to further your professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- State teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Experience teaching elementary school students
- Strong commitment to Christian education and the school's mission
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Passion for working with children and contributing to their holistic development
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
