Metal Fabrication Shop Estimator

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a medium sized fabrication shop. The successful applicant will have at least 3 years estimating for a fabrication shop and be proficient in using industry-leading tools.

Duties

- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for fab projects, including labor and material cost.
- Review and analyze drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work and estimate costs.
- Collaborate with shop staff to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
- Communicate with material vendors to purchase needed items for project.
- Ensure that all estimates are reviewed for accuracy, proper tax codes and material costs are recorded correctly for all work .

Qualifications

-3 years estimating experience in a full service fabrication shop
- Strong knowledge of fabrication principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using industry-leading tools such as SolidWorks and/orAutoCad, both is a plus.
-Strong computer skills and ability to learn new computer software's, experience in ECI JobBoss a plus but not required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and precision in all aspects of the job.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
