Elementary Teacher
CMA is seeking Elementary School Teachers for the 2025/2026 school year.
About Us
Colorado Military Academy is a tuition free public charter school for K-12 conveniently located next to Peterson SFB. Pre-K is available as a tuition-based program.

General Description:
Conducts an organized and professional classroom where independent thinking skills, creative problem solving, and a love of learning are fostered. Develops and uses instructional material suitable for a wide range of learning styles, and provides individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs. Maintains accurate and appropriate records and assessment data to effectively evaluate academic and social growth of students.
Qualifications:
Teacher requirements for this position are one of the following:
- BA in Elementary Education; OR
- BA in any field, but having passed the PRAXIS in Elementary Education; OR
- CO Teaching License endorsed in Elementary Education
- Early Childhood Education BA, PRAXIS or endorsement is also acceptable up to Kindergarten
Experience:
- Previous teaching experience preferred, but not required. We welcome those who are just now entering the field on education!
- Experience with Positive Behavior Support a plus (Dojo System for Elementary)

- Ability to align subject matter with successive grade levels
- Good parent communication
- Ability to differentiate instruction in order to help students at various ability levels find success
- Excellent classroom management
- Physical requirements to perform this job:
- This position may require some lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, moving throughout the building, and standing for long periods.
Work Environment & Conditions:
Business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00pm on school days. Schedule will be adjusted for inclement weather. Shifts in excess of 5 hours receive a 30-minute unpaid, duty-free lunch period. We welcome those candidates with a positive attitude to add to our positive culture which we improve in every year.
