JOB SUMMARY
Monitors, patrols, inspects and reports on the security of Lazy D RV and Mobile Home Park property, vehicles, and utilities to protect against fire, theft, vandalism and illegal activity. This position is a direct report to the Lazy D RV and Mobile Home Park Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
· Protect the Tribes’ assets, investments, employee and tenants
· Deter criminal activity, civil incidents or other problems
· Use the radio and telephone communications to call for assistance from police, fire, or emergency medical services as the situation dictates
· Work with confidentiality in all situations
· Write reports and logs outlining observations and activities during the assigned shift
· Monitor suspicious activities and report crimes to law enforcement officials
· Assist law enforcement officials as directed or needed
· Check on reports of suspicious persons or activities and proceed accordingly as directed or needed
· Work in addition to a regular scheduled hours to keep the park secure, such as on holidays and weekends
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Skill and ability to perform work with sound judgement and common sense
· Skill and ability to keep a situation calm and controlled
· Ability to work with minimum supervision
· Ability to work in a variety of weather and environmental conditions with exposure to the elements; extreme hot and cold temperatures, dry and dusty surroundings
· Knowledge and ability to exercise sound judgement and make appropriate decisions under pressure
· Ability to use a computer to access basic resident information
· Knowledge and basic understanding of simple building repairs, carpentry, plumbing, and construction
· Knowledge and basic understanding in small engine equipment maintenance and repair
· Knowledge and basic understanding of common tools of equipment used in park maintenance
· Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
· Skill and ability to follow directions both verbally and in writing
· Skill and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
· Ability to legibly maintain timely and accurate records of all Park security-related activity and traffic
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent
· Valid Driver License
