Job Summary :
The Grill Day Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Grill, ensuring smooth and efficient service to members at the pool and golf course. This position focuses on personnel management, exceptional customer service, and strong leadership to maintain high standards for food, service, and member satisfaction. The Grill Day Supervisor will work closely with the Golf and Grill Administrative Manager to meet operational goals, while fostering a positive and productive team environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Personnel Management :Supervise grill staff and beverage cart staff ensuring proper staffing levels for peak times and providing on-the-job training and performance feedback.
Communicate daily goals, safety protocols, and service expectations.Schedule staff shifts in collaboration with the Golf and Grill Administrative Manager to optimize team coverage.Monitor staff performance, conduct evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to encourage professional growth.Resolve staff issues and conflicts in a fair and effective manner, promoting a harmonious work environment.Customer Service Excellence :Ensure all members and guests receive exceptional service with prompt, courteous, and friendly attention to their needs.
Address member concerns or complaints in a professional manner, offering solutions that align with club standards and member satisfaction.Maintain a welcoming and clean environment for guests dining at the Grill, poolside, and golf course areas.Monitor food and beverage quality, ensuring that items are prepared and presented in accordance with club standards.Uphold the club's commitment to quality by ensuring that food and beverage operations are compliant with health and safety regulations.Operational Leadership :Oversee the daily operations of the Grill, ensuring that staff are prepared for service, inventory is maintained, and the prep and dining areas are set up for success.
Collaborate with the Golf and Grill Administrative Manager to ensure all supplies are stocked, equipment is functioning properly, and operations run efficiently.Manage opening and closing duties for the Grill, ensuring all tasks are completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.Monitor food and beverage inventory levels and coordinate reordering as necessary to ensure no interruptions in service.Ensure proper handling and storage of food items to maintain quality and comply with safety standards.Leadership and Team Development :Lead by example, modeling professionalism, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
Provide mentorship and development opportunities for Grill staff, encouraging a culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and accountability.Recognize and celebrate staff achievements, fostering a sense of pride and motivation within the team.Promote and enforce the club's policies and procedures to maintain consistency and uphold service standards.Communication :Communicate effectively with the Golf and Grill Administrative Manager, staff, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination and collaboration.
Ensure clear and consistent communication with staff about changes in daily operations, member preferences, and any special events or promotions.Prepare and submit reports on staffing, inventory, and member feedback as required by the Golf and Grill Administrative Manager.Requirements : Qualifications :
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in food service, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.Strong background in customer service, particularly in a hospitality or club setting.Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.Ability to resolve conflicts and manage staff in a professional, effective manner.Knowledge of food safety, health regulations, and best practices in kitchen and service operations.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and peak club season hours.Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and handle kitchen equipment.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications :
