Job Summary
Colorado Springs Country Club, a private and fully member-owned club, is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Golf Shop Attendant to join our professional team. This role is essential in ensuring an exceptional golf experience for our members and guests by providing outstanding customer service, assisting with golf operations, and maintaining an organized and efficient golf shop.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Golf Shop Operations
- Greet members and guests warmly, providing exceptional service and hospitality.
- Assist members with purchases, inquiries, and golf-related needs.
- Utilize the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions, including merchandise sales, tee time bookings, and tournament entries.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and merchandising standards within the golf shop.
Pace of Play & Course Monitoring
- Monitor and enforce the club’s pace of play policies to ensure an enjoyable experience for all golfers.
- Provide support to the golf staff by assisting with tee sheet management and player check-ins.
- Communicate effectively with golf professionals to maintain smooth course operations.
Phone & Member Communication
- Answer phones professionally, assisting with tee time reservations, tournament registrations, and general inquiries.
- Provide accurate and helpful information regarding club policies, events, and course conditions.
Tournament & Event Assistance
- Assist in the organization and execution of member tournaments, outings, and special events.
- Help set up and distribute tournament materials, scorecards, and prizes.
- Support the professional staff with event logistics, including check-in and scoring.
Opening & Closing Procedures
- Open and close the golf shop following established protocols, ensuring security and readiness for daily operations.
- Reconcile daily sales, prepare closing reports, and restock inventory as needed.
- Ensure all club policies and procedures are followed throughout shifts.
