Lead Fleet Technician


Our Fleet Operations Department is responsible for repairing and servicing our more than 2,000 fleet vehicles. We are hiring a Lead Fleet Technician to provide fleet services out in the field for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and other equipment. Our fleet is made up of vehicles from Ford, Chevy, Peterbilt, Caterpillar, and Kenworth. You will help ensure the reliability and safety of our fleet, enabling us to provide utility services to our more than 500,000 customers continuously.

A day in the life of a Lead Fleet Technician may include:

  • Serving as a technical advisor and mentor to Fleet Technician I’s and II’s 
  • Assisting in training technicians in their areas of work, including automotive and heavy equipment repair and maintenance methods, procedures, and techniques
  • Performing more technical and complex automotive repairs and maintenance activities
  • Ensuring compliance with maintenance standards and procedures, and performing field repairs


Who You Are:

  • Possession of a Master Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification is required (in A or T Series) - or equivalent OEM Certification(s)
  • Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver’s license is required
  • Possession of a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required
  • Relevant experience in a fleet or automotive mechanic environment
  • Knowledge of and experience with preventative maintenance methodologies and tools
