Description of Work Unit
Veterinary Teaching Hospital The mission of CSU VTH Small Animal Critical Care Services, the pinnacle of veterinary medicine and education, is to ensure the advancement of patient welfare through a vital system distinguished by : personal excellence; compassionate care; exemplary education; collaborative & transformative research; and mutual trust with our community. This position reports to the Urgent Care / Emergency Unit technician manager.

Position Summary
The Critical Care Services (CCS) which includes (Emergency, Urgent Care, Critical Care Unit) provides medical care for small animals and exotics on an emergency basis. As a CCS Supervisor at CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH), you will oversee the small animal veterinary technical team (veterinary technicians, assistants, hourlies) within the Critical Care Services and partner with faculty. Due to the nature of the 24 / 7 / 365 service, the Critical Care Service will have multiple supervisors to help with the daily / night needs of the department to ensure that there is a go-to leader on most shifts. You will provide hands-on support (floor supervisor), technical expertise, and leadership to ensure the smooth operation of the Critical Care Services. The CCS Supervisor is committed to ensuring the highest quality of patient care is delivered with exceptional client service while maintaining focus on teaching.
