Description of Work Unit
The CSU Equine Reproduction Program has developed leading-edge equine reproduction techniques for the equine industry for over 45 years. Techniques such as collection of semen and artificial insemination, recovery and transfer of equine embryos, shipping cooled semen, and shipping cooled embryos are now routine in the equine industry, due in large part to the research, education, and outreach efforts of the CSU Equine Reproduction Laboratory.

Position Summary
Hiring 2, 9-month Stallion Service Assistant positions at the Equine Reproduction Laboratory ( ERL ).
These positions support the stallion program for the Equine Reproduction Laboratory. The positions will be following the daily duties assigned, to include stallion care, participating in breeding practices and techniques, frozen semen inventory assistance and helping maintain a clean and organized laboratory.
These are essential worker positions and must be willing and able to report to work as directed to perform essential and / or emergency services without delay or interruption beginning on February 10. 2025 and ending October 31, 2025.
Position Minimum Qualifications
- 4-year degree in related field of study (equine science or animal science).
- 2-year degree in related field and 2 years of dedicated experience with horses.
