Position Summary
This position will work as a Registered Veterinary Technician for the Small Animal Internal Medicine department. The position will perform diagnostic procedures, therapeutic treatments, assist with advanced endoscopic procedures, play an active role in our I-131 service, and provide instruction to veterinary students, interns, and residents. The small animal internal medicine service specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions that affect the internal organs of small animals. This often includes complex or chronic illnesses that arent easily managed through routine veterinary care. Heres an overview of the what typically occurs on the small animal internal medicine service : Diagnosis of complex conditions, management of chronic diseases, specialized treatments, and help in monitoring the progression of diseases and adjusting treatments as necessary to improve the quality of life for the pet.
Required Job Qualifications
NOTE : VETERINARY PRACTICE ACT Effective January 1, 2024, anyone wanting to use the titles Registered Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Technician, RVT , or VT will have to be certified through the Colorado Association of Certified Veterinary Technicians ( CACVT ) and registered through the Department of Regulatory Agencies ( DORA ).
