Human Resources & Safety Coordinator – Transportation Industry
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7 AM–4 PM
Location: Colorado – Family-Owned Company | 49 Years in Business
Join a trusted, family-run transportation company providing black car, SUV, Sprinter, Minibus, and Motorcoach services across Colorado and surrounding states for the past 49 years. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Human Resources & Safety Coordinator to help oversee HR functions and ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and other regulatory agencies.
This role is ideal for a CDL driver looking to move into a more administrative position while staying connected to the transportation world.
What You’ll Do
- Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new drivers and staff
- Maintain employee records, licenses, certifications, and compliance files
- Assist with employee relations and disciplinary actions
- Oversee training programs and safety certifications
- Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Monitor ELDs, Hours of Service logs, and Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
- Coordinate required DOT drug and alcohol testing programs
- Assist in DOT and FMCSA audit preparation and recordkeeping
- Fill in as a professional driver on occasion if needed
What We’re Looking For
- Knowledge of DOT/FMSCA regulations (preferred)
- CDL License (preferred but not required)
- Prior experience in HR, Safety, or Transportation (a plus)
- Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and recordkeeping skills
- Must pass background check, drug test, physical, and FBI fingerprinting
Schedule
- Full-Time | 40 hours/week
- Monday – Friday | 7 AM – 4 PM
- Occasional weekend work as needed
