What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maternal Infant/Unit Scrub Tech position at Colquitt Regional Medical Center?
Scrub tech will assist during c-section cases by helping to prepare operating rooms, equipment, and assist during surgeries. Using an understanding of fundamentals and routines for procedures, you must be able to help ensure procedures are performed efficiently and effectively.
When not assisting in Cesarean Sections, the scrub tech will assist nurses as needed. Examples: obtaining vital signs, answering call lights, monitoring doorways and assisting visitors. The scrub tech will be responsible for restocking rooms to ensure rooms have adequate supplies and unit is stocked, organized and ready for patients at all times.
Scrub tech may also assist the director with administrative duties such as ordering and maintaining supplies for the unit, data entry of vaccines and hearing screen information and scheduling of infusion and repeat screening appointments.
Education
Required- Technical/other training or better in Surgical Technologist
Licenses & Certifications
Required- Surgical Technologist
