What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist Assistant position at Colquitt Regional Medical Center?
Colquitt Regional Health Systems is currently hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant at our Vereen Rehabiltation Center. The Physical Therapy Assistant serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing direct patient care services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist following established treatment programs for assigned patients. The Assistant assumes an active role in all departmental activities and processes.
Job duties include, but are not imited to:
Complies with and follows treatment program established by the Physical Therapist.
Conducts objective clinical testing.
Assists in gathering data during tests and measurements.
Immediately reports all patient changes, unexpected responses, problems to the assigned Physical Therapist before modifying a treatment program.
Documents patient treatments performed daily including progress notes on inpatients and outpatients. Supervises supportive personnel. Gives direction to aides and volunteers who may be assisting in patient care. Provides patient and family education and gives instructions that are clear and complete.
Previous PTA experience preferred.
Current GA PTA license required.
