Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest relations. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, addressing inquiries and taking reservations as needed.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Utilize the Aloha POS system for managing orders and processing payments efficiently.
- Provide assistance to guests by answering questions about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with the ability to help guests feel welcome and valued.
- Previous experience in hotel or restaurant roles is advantageous but not required.
