We are looking for a Preschool Teacher Assistant in our company located in Everett, Washington. The Preschool assistant is responsible for providing a safe environment and quality childcare for children of members and guests using Silver Lake Club athletic facilities. This position requires supervisory skills as well as constant, quality care and attention to children. The Preschool assistant assures that the children and Preschool room are safe and clean at all times. He/She must enjoy and appreciate young children.

- Ability to develop lesson plans.
- Monitor/assess the performance of staff and Preschool procedures regularly to make improvements or take corrective action as needed.
- Provide total care and welfare to the children in the Preschool Class.
- Ability to maintain a clean and healthful environment.
- Impart constant and positive supervision, attention, and interaction with children.
- Pay close attention to the special needs and discipline of children.
- Maintain awareness of the general health of the children and report any concerns to the parent and supervisor.
- Organized in handling scheduling, staff, and Preschool paperwork.
- Be able to supervise staff and model/enforce standards and expectations.
Essential Duties:
- Keep the Preschool room safe, picked up, and organized.
- Keep the area free of any hazardous objects.
- Read, draw, and play games with the children.
- Hold children and comfort them as necessary.
- Keep orderly and positive interactions between children.
- Discipline children when required.
- Keep all children in the Preschool Class and follow check-in/out procedures.
- Alert parents when a child needs special attention or cannot interact with other children in a constructive manner.
- Remove ill children from Preschool.
- Keep toys and surfaces clean and disinfected.
- Vacuum area as needed.
- Make sure that children are checked out by the appropriate parent or guardian only.
- Handle reservations and schedule.
- Follow rules and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree in Education, with a focus on early childhood development.
- Experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
- Ability to communicate with young children at their level.
- Patient, compassionate attitude, with a friendly, energetic disposition.
- Good mediation and nurturing abilities.
- Creative mindset with an ability to create memorable, out-of-the-box lessons.
- Passion for shaping and inspiring young minds.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to serve as a positive role model.
Salary : $18
