Job Summary:
The Executive Director/Administrator will provide overall leadership and direction for the operation of Columbia Basin Care, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This individual will be responsible for the strategic planning, financial management, and day-to-day operations of the facility. The Executive Director/Administrator will work closely with Aidan Health Services, leadership team, staff, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of excellence, quality care, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of facility operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and goals.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the facility’s long-term strategic goals, including initiatives for growth, financial sustainability, and quality improvement.
- Provide leadership and direction to department heads and staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Ensure the financial health of the organization by overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, healthcare partners, and community organizations to enhance services and advocacy for the facility.
- Lead the development of policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and quality care standards are met across all departments.
- Provide regular updates on facility performance, key initiatives, and areas of concern to Aidan Health Services.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and other regulatory requirements by overseeing all internal audits, inspections, and certifications.
- Promote and uphold the organization’s commitment to patient and staff safety, employee engagement, and a positive organizational culture.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and retention of key personnel to ensure a well-qualified and compassionate workforce.
- Coordinate with department heads to address any operational or clinical challenges and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Represent the facility in public relations activities and fundraising efforts to build community awareness and support.
- Ensure the facility’s physical environment is maintained to the highest standards for patient safety and comfort.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must hold an active Licensed Nursing Home Administrator Certificate and be in good standing with the State of Oregon.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare administration or a senior management role, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing healthcare facilities, with experience ensuring compliance.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of professionals and create a positive, supportive work culture.
- Excellent financial management skills, including experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on quality care and operational excellence.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working with Boards of Directors and providing regular updates and reports on organizational performance.
Physical Requirements:
- Visual and auditory acuity within normal limits.
- Ability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs as needed.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
