Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Parts Manager to oversee the parts department at CDJR Columbia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experinece in automotive parts management at a Franchised Dealer. This role is critical in ensuring that the right parts are available at the right time to support our operations and customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of parts and supplies, ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained.
- Oversee data entry processes to ensure accurate tracking of inventory and parts usage.
- Negotiate with suppliers for the best pricing and terms on OEM and aftermarket parts.
- Collaborate with service technicians to understand their needs for automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Implement effective logistics strategies to streamline the delivery of parts to various departments.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to assist in identifying necessary parts for repairs or fabrication projects.
- Monitor supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics.
- Proficient in data entry and inventory management systems.
- Excellent negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and vendors.
Qualifications
- Five or more year’s related experience in an automotive parts management position.
- CDJR experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and work ethic.
- Ability to work well in a process driven environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license in the state that you will work and a good driving record.
