To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty consistently and efficiently.
- Demonstrate positive behavior, enthusiasm, and a commitment to the Club’s general and Camp values.
- Maintain open communication and build positive rapport with campers, parents, and team members.
- Be creative and energetic while leading / teaching diverse recreational and educational activities based off the weekly theme and rain day plans.
- Take initiative to adapt to different camper needs during transition periods, and camp activities.
- Lead small groups of campers by fostering positive relationships, resolving conflicts, and ensuring everyone feels included.
- Enforce camp rules and respond to behavior concerns promptly and to Club standard.
- Administer first aid and take care of injuries as needed. Ensure the proper communication, reporting and follow up of care is performed.
- Stay alert and involved in all camp activities, assuring that the campers have fun while maintaining safety. Counselors are responsible to escorting campers around the Club based on the activity schedule.
- Assist with maintaining camp facilities and equipment cleanliness.
- Work major Club events as requested by management.
