We are looking to expand our team by adding enthusiastic and dedicated Seasonal Lifeguards for the upcoming summer season. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, effective communication abilities, and a strong commitment to working as part of a team.
- Ensure Safety: Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area and participants to prevent accidents and injuries, always prioritizing patron safety.
- Enforce Pool Rules: Observe and enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
- Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by responding to member inquiries, addressing concerns, and assisting with any needs that arise during pool use.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of the pool area, restrooms, and surrounding areas. Ensure the filtration system is functioning properly, and that pool chemistry is up to standard.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly to all emergency situations, utilizing Red Cross Lifeguard training to administer first aid, CPR, and other emergency procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and inspect pool equipment to ensure it is safe, clean, and operational.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other lifeguards and staff members to ensure efficient pool operations and a positive member experience.
- Facility Opening/Closing: Perform opening and closing duties for the facility, including necessary cleaning and preparation for operation.
- Other Duties: Complete other tasks as assigned by the Pool Manager or Assistant Pool Manager
- Lifeguard Certification: Current Lifeguard and First Aid/AED certification required.
- Customer Service Skills: Proven history of excellent customer service and effective communication.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stay alert for extended periods, swim, and perform lifesaving techniques when necessary.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in outdoor conditions with exposure to various weather elements.
- Punctuality and Responsibility: Must be dependable, punctual, and able to multitask in a challenging environment.
- Pool Operator Certificate (Preferred): Having a Pool Operator Certificate is a plus.
- Experience: Prior lifeguarding experience is a plus but not required; certification courses available for selected candidates.
